CLAM Projects

What is It ?

A project in GLiCID’s terminology is a way for you to share data and compute resources with other people.

Creating a Project WILL allow you to launch jobs. If you do not need to run jobs, but only share data, you need to create a team.
A Project have a maximum lifetime, as opposed to teams. Your GLiCID account expiration date will be set to the maximum expiration date of all your project, or 1 year, whichever is longest. After that, your account will expire and you will need to extend your project, or join another one to reactivate it.

How can I access It ?

Once created and validated, a team gives you access to storage spaces for you to share data between members of it :

  1. /scratch/waves/projects/<team_name>

  2. /scratch/nautilus/projects/<team_name>

  3. /LAB-DATA/GLiCID/projects/<team_name>

What can I do with It ?

The main thing to do with projects is to launch Slurm jobs on GLiCID.

How can I create/join one ?

  1. Go to your CLAM account profile, and click on Join another above the projects section

  2. If the project is not in the list, ask to create one. Fill all the appropriate information on the form.

  3. The project is awaiting approval by a GLiCID administrator and will only be usable after validation.

  4. Once the project is activated, you can see it in green in your profile page.
